The last addition to the DI PIÙ line of briquetting and densification presses and equipment is the SLUDGEBRIK. A true breakthrough in this field, the SLUDGEBRIK can briquette grinding sludge and at the same time separate and recover the expensive grinding lubricants normally used in this type of machining.
After extensive tests in the field, thanks to customers that agreed to try this unique technology, the press is now available for the market. It solves the issue that most grinding operations face every day: what to do with grinding sludge and how to properly dispose of it. The beneficial impact of this technology has three sides:
- Positively recovers the metal so that it can be sold to recyclers/smelters, including the recovery of valuable tungsten carbide from tool sharpening.
- Recovers a very large amount of cutting fluid, with savings that pay for the investment in a matter of months.
- Avoids the slow seeping into the soil of cutting fluids with damage to the environment, or the cost of making the sludge storage area leak-proof.
